Got old or used nicotine vapes piling up? Don’t toss them in the trash — dispose of them safely and for free at one of four convenient collection sites in the Springfield, Missouri area during the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

- Alps Pharmacy — 105 S Ridgecrest Ave, Nixa, MO
- What’s accepted: These sites will collect nicotine vapes, e-cigarettes, cartridges, and pods in addition to the unused or expired prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs, and controlled substances typically accepted at DEA Take-Back Day events. Cannabis/THC vape products will not be accepted.
- How to prepare your vapes: Place all devices, cartridges, and pods in a sealed plastic zip-lock bag before dropping them off. This helps ensure safe handling and containment of any residual nicotine or battery leakage.
